AWRSD Professional Development
The vision for Professional Development in the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is consistent with the district’s commitment to providing a quality education that prepares all students to be contributing citizens of local and global societies, in an ever-changing world. In accordance with this philosophy, the vision for professional development for the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is to provide opportunities for all staff to grow professionally, fulfill State licensure requirements, increase knowledge, strengthen skills, improve teaching practices and foster the on-going growth and change necessary to provide students with knowledge, skills and values they will need to lead meaningful lives in the 21st century.

In order to be reimbursed for your coursework at the UMASS Lowell tuition rate, staff must do the following:
3. Complete course
4. Submit printout of "Request for Course Reimbursement Payment" form (located under the Professional Development tab on the District website) WITH attached hard copies of your evidence of course completion (i.e. transcript, printout from university/college student grade portal) AND proof of payment to Director of Curriculum and Instruction)
5. Final course must by completed by June 30th. Beginning in SY 20-21, the paper form with attached proof of payment and course completion/grade must be completed and submitted by July 15th in order for reimbursement to count towards the current fiscal year.
