Building Skills for Independence: A Webinar on Executive Functioning
- Building Skills for Independence: A Webinar on Executive Functioning
- 11/16/2020, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Beginning, working on, and completing tasks are real challenges for many students with executive function impairments related to disabilities like ADHD. Parents and educators have playbooks to help these students in normal times, when in-person school was a way of life. But remote-learning has thrown that playbook out the window. If you are searching for tools and strategies to help your child with executive function deficits in areas like motivation, planning, sustaining effort, managing frustration, etc., then plan to join the webinar “Building Skills for Independence: An Overview of Executive Function, Tools and Strategies” on Monday, November 16 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. hosted by the Ashburnham-Westminster Special Education Parent Advisory Council. You’ll hear from Merri Minnich and Jackie DeGroot of Beyond Booksmart, who will:
- Provide an overview of executive function
- Provide tools and strategies to boost executive function skills
- Help us reorient our thinking to apply solutions in the new remote and hybrid delivery formats
