Brief Description: Students will learn how robots can
emulate human senses and how, in the near future, science and technology will
give sight to the visually impaired and hearing to the hearing impaired!
Duration: 3 classes X 80 minutes

Goals: The student will be able to describe how human
enhancement and simulation will effect our lives and the impact it will have on our society.
They will also identify how anthropomorphic robots will combine with artificial
intelligence to improve our quality of life. Finally, each student will discover
how ergonomics must be a major consideration in workplace and commercial product
design.

enhancement for the improvement of human physical capabilities.

Goals: The student will be able to 1) research,
describe, modify and/or build prosthetic devices, hearing and
vision implants and ergonomic remedial devices and 2) relate that
technology to the Technology Systems Model.
