Create a positive environment for students at Overlook Middle School.

Create an awareness of and participation in extra-curricular and community service projects.

Create a partnership between Overlook and area businesses to promote excellence in our school community.

Goals Needed to Receive a SOAR Card

Academics:
* Students must have an 80 or higher GPA (Grade Point Average of all subjects) or Team/Teacher recommendation
* Students cannot have any D's or F's on their report card
* Improve grade average by one grade level in a term
* Students cannot have more than two homework detentions in a term.

Attendance:
* Students must not be absent for more than two days in one term.
* Students must not have more than one unexcused tardy per term.

Behavior:
* Students cannot have any behavior detentions during the term.
* Students cannot have any suspensions during the term.
* Students who do not meet number one under behavior, but have made a dramatic improvement in behavior can meet the behavior goal through a staff or administrative recommendation.
