Biography
I came to the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School district in the fall of 1988 as an eighth grade student. I spent the next five years at Oakmont Regional Jr. / Sr. High School, graduating with the class of 1993. After leaving Oakmont I spent two years at the University of Maine before transferring to Fitchburg State College. I graduated from F.S.C. in 1999 with a BS. in Elementary Education and a minor in Physical Education. I also received a BS. in Humanities with a concentration in Art, History, and Philosophy. I received my MEd. in Middle School Education from F.S.C. in 2004.
I feel that I am one of the lucky people in the world. I get to go to work everyday and do a job that I love. In addition to teaching seventh grade life science, I coach the Overlook girls’ soccer team and I spent last summer as the Lead Educator for the Summer Scientist Program at the Acton Discovery Museums. When I am not teaching other peoples children I spend time with my two children and my wonderful wife. As a family we enjoy spending time at the beach in Maine, visiting the Roger Williams Park Zoo, and enjoying the outdoors.
My personal hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, skiing, old-guy softball, home repair, and saving the planet.
