Introduction
This food hunt is intended to let you review important nutrition information covered in class via the Internet. Topics include the Food Guide Pyramid, Dietary Guidelines, Food Labels, and Food Safety.The Task
You will complete a work sheet and print out a shopping list.
The Process
* Step 1: Access the needed information:
Using the computer, access the Internet
and go to the Overlook Library Web Page.
Click on Overlook Class Assignments
and select Family/Health.
Click on WebQuest Food Hunt. You will access a Web Food Hunt by Ingrid Karbiener.
* Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the existing instructions to the Food Hunt (starting Point).
Click on the numbered food
pyramid pictures of the food hunt to connect to the Internet
links for your information.
The numbers on the
pyramids match the numbers of the questions on the worksheet.

Evaluation
All the answers on your work sheet must be complete and correct.
Your shopping list must be printed out and include one healthy food choice for each food group. Total cost should not go over $5.00.
Conclusion
You have completed a review of nutrition information covered in Family/Health class. Topics include the Food Guide Pyramid, Dietary Guidelines, Food Labels and Food Safety.
Here is a challenge: Try to improve your eating habits by following the Dietary Guidelines and the recommended servings of the food groups on the Food Pyramid.
