Band and Chorus

The Overlook Middle School Band is open to any student in grades 6, 7, and 8 who plays an instrument.  The sixth grade band practices alone once per week.  The seventh and eighth grade band practices by themselves twice per week.  The entire band practices together during SWAP on Thursdays.  The band plays a variety of music from the classics to modern day music.   The band performs several concerts each year and also competes in the M.I.C.A. Annual Festival each spring.

The Overlook Middle School Chorus is open to any student in grades 6, 7, and 8 who wants to sing.  Each team (6A, 6B, 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B) practices by themselves once per week during TAP period.  The entire chorus practices together during SWAP on Tuesday.  The chorus sings a variety of music from the classics to modern day music.  Several concerts are given each year.   The chorus also competes in the ACDA Choral Festival each spring.
