Project Write

Project W.R.I.T.E. is an annual publication of writing from across the curriculum at Overlook Middle School. The book displays the diversity of writing assignments in all curricula, such as: creative and descriptive writing in English classes, science lab reports, Mr. Babineaus famous "Cell Stories", social studies 1700s newsletters, Holocaust diary entries, sports research papers in Physical Education classes, Mr. Beaudoins "Biography-in -a- Bag" art reports, Spanish poems and translations, math "Spinner games", riddles, and March Madness projects, poetry, technology expositions, music reports, "Random Acts of Kindness" vignettes, career awareness projects and lots more!
Each year a contest is held so that students in grades 6-8 can design a cover for the Project W.R.I.T.E. Book as well as "Insert Pages" that portray creativity, imagination, and writing. The winner of the cover design receives a free Overlook Yearbook.
This year Project W.R.I.T.E. is coordinated by Grade 8 English teacher Mrs. Tobia and Grade 6 English teacher Mrs. DiSalle
The Project W.R.I.T E. Book is published and distributed in June.
