Biographical Profile:

I am certified to teach art in grades K-12, having trained as a high school educator, but after initially teaching elementary school art, I became amazed by the successes and quality of work that younger students can achieve. I have also taught undergraduate and graduate students as an Adjunct Professor at Fitchburg State College, through an art education class that I created, and which is still being taught.
I have been fortunate to have acquired grant money through the Massachusetts Department of Education and the Massachusetts Cultural Council to enable Artists in Residence to work with Westminster Elementary School students. I have been proud to see many former students will local, state, and national art awards, and continue on to pursue careers in visual art.
I enjoy learning new mediums and techniques, from watercolor to ceramics and glassblowing. My greatest artwork is the renovation of my 100 year old farmhouse and the gardens that surround it. I also love making music, and spending time in Maine with my husband and two daughters.
