Anna Maria College Art Competition 2009

Congratulations to the Oakmont Visual Arts Students who participated in the Anna Maria College High School Art Competition. Several Oakmont senior artists received awards. For the category of Painting, the 3rdplace and 2nd place award was received by Meghan Perkins, and the 1st place award was received by Laurel Durkan. For the category of Drawing, 2nd place was awarded to John Dwelly, and 1st place was awarded to Amanda Daigle. For the category of Graphics, 3rd place was awarded to John Dwelly. Also, Best of Show which included a cash award of $200.00 and a scholarship of $2,500.00 was awarded to Amanda Daigle. Best of Show Runner Up with a cash award of $100.00 and a $1,000.00 scholarship was awarded to John Dwelly. The entire Oakmont Visual Art Department received the Most Winning Entries Awards trophy as best high school. The eight exhibited senior artists include (back row): Maegan Porpora, Morgan Mitchell, John Dwelly, Meghan Perkins, Noelle Landry, (front row) Jenn Carroll, Amanda Daigle, and Laurel Durkan.
