Oakmont Announces New Alumni
Association
Ashburnham, MA – September 14, 2007
Oakmont Regional High School invites
representatives of the media to attend a press
conference announcing the formation of the Oakmont Regional High School
Alumni Association. The press conference will be held in the
David A. Nims Library at
Oakmont on September 20th at 2:00 p.m. Current
administrators and distinguished alumni, including members of the first
graduating class of 1961, will be present to discuss upcoming events.
Among the planned events to be discussed
will be an Alumni Family Sock Hop to follow the Oakmont vs. Holy Name
football game on October 5th.
"We
want to locate as many Oakmont graduates as possible so people can connect
with classmates and reconnect with Oakmont,"
explained Betsy Hannula of Westminster, one of the
alumni association’s organizers.
"An
active, dynamic alumni association goes a long way to preserve Oakmont's
proud traditions and strengthen our school’s values of family and community,"
said Oakmont principal, David P. Uminski.
