Wikipedia -- the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, making it a "people's encyclopedia" of sorts. However, caveat emptor -- the articles in this resource are mostly written by enthusiasts rather than recognized authorities (although this may change over time), so don't use this as your only general encyclopedia and check the sources for Wikipedia's information. Potential researchers and other serious users are strongly recommended to read About Wikipedia for a summary overview and understanding of Wikipedia, and everyone should also read Researching with Wikipedia.
