Internet Tutorials

There are many sites on the Web which teach users about and how to use the Internet. Of, course, there is something of a Catch 22 about this, (How can you find Web tutorials on the Internet if you don't know how to get around the Internet?) but if you want to improve your Web skills, check out:

Big Dummy's Guide to the Internet -- The genesis of the Big Dummy's Guide was a few informal conversations, which included Mitch Kapor of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and Steve Cisler of Apple Computer, Inc. in June of 1991. With the support of Apple Computer, EFF hired a writer (Adam Gaffin) and actually took on the project in September of 1991.
Finding Information on the Internet -- This tutorial presents the substance of the Internet Worshops offered year-round by the Teaching Library at the University of California at Berkeley.
Internet Tutorials -- a group of instructional guides to the Internet by Laura Cohen, Web Support Librarian, University at Albany, SUNY.
Zen and the Art of the Internet -- a classic guide (1992) to the Internet for beginners in hypertext.
