Interested in learning about financing a college education and the financial aid process? Join us for a financial aid seminar on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. in the Alumni Performing Arts Center at Oakmont Regional High School, 9 Oakmont Drive, Ashburnham. Ms. JoEllen Soucier, a Representative of the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) and Director of Financial Aid at Mount Wachusett Community College, will discuss various aspects of financial aid, the process that parents and students go through when applying for aid, as well as what happens in financial aid offices. The seminar will guide parents through filling out the appropriate forms, how financial aid is calculated and awarded, how to compare financial aid award letters, as well as alternative financing possibilities.
