Student Recognition

Spartan Of the Month  – A student will be chosen each month to recognize his or her service to the school or community. Teachers, parents, friends or community members are encouraged to nominate students for Spartan of the Month by contacting Mr. Smith through either email or (978) 827-5907, ext. 2155. Students who have provided outstanding service to the school or community are eligible for nomination. They must also be academically eligible and have a clean behavioral record at Oakmont, with no disciplinary infractions.

Academic Honors  – Any Oakmont student who maintains a career 3.2 grade point average will receive an honor sash for Graduation if they are qualified four-year members of the Senior Class. The Honor Roll is published at the end of each term and released to local newspapers. The Honor Roll is also posted in the main lobby. Students with Highest Honors are recognized at an Honors Breakfast each semester.

Golden Spartans Students who receive all A range grades throughout their four years at Oakmont and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.7 will be eligible to receive the Golden Spartan award prior to graduation.

Presidential Scholars  – A certificate of Outstanding Academic Excellence signed by the President of the United States and the Secretary of Education is presented to graduating seniors with a cumulative 3.5 GPA.

Spartan Scholars  – Students in grades 9-11 who earn a cumulative 3.2 GPA receive a Spartan Scholars certificate.

Athletic Awards – athletes are recognized at Athletic Awards Nights at the conclusion of each athletic season.

Senior Awards are presented at Class Night the Friday before Graduation.

Undergraduate Awards are presented in June.
