Making Up Work Missed When Absent

Students will be permitted to make up work according to the following schedule:

1 full day’s absence = up to two (2) school days to make up the work at the discretion of the teacher

2 full days’ absence = up to five (5) school days to make up the work at the discretion of the teacher

3 - 5 full days’ absence = up to ten (10) school days to make up the work at the discretion of the teacher

More than 1 full week = students are responsible for making special contract arrangements with their teachers

When a student is to be absent more than two (2) school days the school nurse should be notified and parents may want to request homework assignments. . Please call the main office to schedule make-up work. It is the student's responsibility to schedule missing work with individual teachers upon return from absences

This make up schedule is not intended for absences of less than one full day or for previously assigned long-range term reports or projects. Assignments such as these must be passed in on the first day the student returns to school.
