Electronic Devices

Student use of cell phones and electronic devices is prohibited during the school day. Emergency messages for students should be called into the main office (978-827-5907) during the school day.

Students who are found to be using a cell phone or electronic device during the school day will be required to turn the cell phone or device over to a staff member, who will then turn it into the main office. When a staff member requests that a student turn over a cell phone or device, the student must comply without disassembling or tampering with the cell phone or device.

On the first offense, the cell phone or device will be returned to the student at the end of the school day and he/she will receive Level I consequences. On the second offense the student will again receive Level I consequences, 2nd offense, and parents or guardians will be notified. Subsequent offenses will result in more serious consequences, parent or guardian conferences, and retention of the cell phone or device until a parent or guardian claims it.
