Members of
the senior class who have earned twenty six (26) credits and have met all
graduation requirements are welcome to participate in the graduation
ceremony. In addition, seniors are required to pass the equivalent of six
(6) full credit courses and earn six (6) credits during the senior year. A
grade of “D” is considered passing, but only earns .5 credits during senior
year toward senior year credit requirements. Seniors are also allowed no
more than seven (7) unexcused absences during second semester senior year.
Members of
the senior class who do not meet graduation participation requirements may
request a waiver that will enable them to participate in graduation by
submitting a written request to the Principal by May 15th. The
written request must clearly indicate why the student should be allowed to
participate in graduation and how they intend to complete graduation
requirements in the future. The Principal will form a committee with
representation from the faculty, guidance, and the administration to review
each request.
