Activity: Computer Basics

• Create and use folders.
• Identify parts of a computer and explain their functions. 
• Start up & shut down correctly. 
• Clean a computer (externally).

Folders

1) Create a folder in the My Documents folder, using your first name as the folder name.

2) Move all of your files into your folder.

3) Choose a picture for your folder that tells us something about you.

Parts of the Computer

1) Place the labels in your envelope on the correct computer part.

2) Find a friend to check your work, using the handout from Mrs. Davis.
