New Business

Fundraising - Debbie Noel-Weatherbee from Kathryn Beich Fundraising came in to present what she could offer JRB for fundraising opportunities. The Kathryn Beich Company has many good things to offer although we have not made any final decisions for our main fundraising. We have decided to do a spring bunny fundraiser with Kathryn Beich that many of the schools in the area have done very well with. The bunnies are made of Nestle chocolate and offered in white or milk chocolate, they sell for $5 each and $2.50 of it is profit for the school. There was a motion to accept the bunny fundraiser to run March 3rd – 18th with delivery on the 22nd , it was 2nd and accepted unanimously.  There was also a motion to order 5 cases of chocolate bunnies and 3 cases of white bunnies to sell at the Bunny Breakfast. The PTO will have a table at the Bunny Breakfast and possibly have use of Debbie Noel-Weatherbee’s money machine to promote the sales. Any unopened cases can be returned. This was 2nd and then passed unanimously.

Valentines Dance – The dance will be February 4th from 7-9pm at JRB. We will ask Michelle to print the tickets again. The DJ is booked and will cost $300. The photographer is also booked and will cost $5.00 a picture (same as last year). Tammy will order door prizes, it was suggested that we go with some type of a stuffed animal. Balloon creations will need to be contacted to order balloons. Punch and paper products will need to be purchased. We will do an inventory of the closet and then do a big run for both dances and the bunny breakfast at the same time. Ticket prices will stay the same as last year at $12 a couple, this includes the picture. Tammy has 8-10 volunteers but may need to get more volunteers.

Community Outreach – There are breakfasts that are organized for local business owners and it was suggested that JRB sponsor a breakfast. Renee is going to go to one of the breakfast to see what they are all about and then report back to the PTO.
