A meteor is a meteoroid (a tiny piece of rock or metal in space) that has entered the Earth’s atmosphere, usually leaving a fiery trail. It moves downward through Earth’s atmosphere. It is bright yellow, orange, and red. It leaves a fiery trail. A.k.a. shooting star.
