How to Be a Heron

Don’t ever hibernate

Be leaving your nest at 7-8 weeks

Don’t be an amphibian or a fish

Eat fish, bugs, and amphibians

Sleep in your nest

Drink water from the lake

Walk strong and proud

Fly like a powerful bird you are

Sound dead silent

Spend the winter migrating

Live in the water and in your nest

Climbing doesn’t happen for this animal

You will never be a meal
