1) Print a shape book for taking notes: ball, bat, glove or diamond.

2) Use the Tools of the Trade to discover how bats are made. Take notes as you read. Remember, you don't need to use complete sentences. You do need to put the information in your own words.

3) Use Microsoft Word to a "How To" paragraph on how to make a bat.

  • Is your "how to" list in order? If not, use cut & paste to organize your ideas.
  • Did you choose interesting words? If not, use the thesaurus to spice up your word choices.

Ever eat a hot dog at a baseball game? How did it get there?

1) Watch the Popcorn, Peanuts, & Hot Dogs movie.

2) Use The Graph Club to graph the number of hot dogs Gus sold in the last two weeks.
