Meeting
Minutes for March 10, 2005
Meeting called to order at
6:30 PM.
Attendance
sheet is attached.
Secretary Report
– both Jan. 13th and Feb. 17th minutes
reviewed and accepted with one clarification. The T-shirt
Fundraiser is a separate fundraiser.
Treasury Report
– There was
a suggestion to open new organizational accounts for some
programs such as Studio Art and the Book Fair to make it
easier for the people running the programs and to keep
things separated. The treasury report was reviewed and
accepted.
Bunny Breakfast
-
We will order 12 bunches of flowers for center pieces.
Deanne Smith will do the BJ’s run. Volunteers are needed for
Friday night at
6pm to set up and for Saturday morning at
6:30am
. Debbie Weatherbee will be there with her money machine.
Martha will get change for breakfast and pictures ($50-10’s,
$100-5’s & $150-1’s).
The eggs are stuffed and ready and film will be purchased
soon. Ann Horgan should be picking-up the costume but if she
can’t Kristen will do it. We need to check on number of
2-part tickets we have in stock. We nee flat electric
griddles approx. 4 to borrow to make pancakes. The back drop
is normally done by the Special Ed department but a new one
has not been done for this year so we will just use what
ever decorations are available and put them up on the wall
behind the bunny. The Girl Scouts are still scheduled to
help with the tattoo and activity tables.
Kathryn Biech
– Is scheduled to do
fundraiser kick off for next Fall on
Thursday,
September 15, 2005
at 1:30pmwith Sponge Bob costume package.
Humanities T-shirts
– Possibly do Spring T-shirt
fundraiser mid-March so the T-shirts are back for Earth Day
in April.
Mother/Son Dance
–
Scheduled for April 8th , the Caller is all set.
Tammy will get supplies. There was a suggestion to add
“Healthy Snack” as an option for something to bring in along
with the request for a baked good. April 1st is
the ticket purchase deadline. We may print tickets through
Staples. The prize was changed to a 4” ball, some other
possible suggestions were hackey sacs or Koosh balls. The
theme is red, white and blue.
Mini Grants
–
Approx.
16 grants between $7,000-$8,000. Candy may be able to use
the Enrichment fund to fund some of them.
PTO Board and School Council Nominations
– There are
3 parent positions available on next years School Council
and some board positions on the PTO available. Nomination
letters will be sent out with guidelines of what is required
for each position.
Staff Appreciation Day
–
Will be on May 25th . Set-up for breakfast will
need to be done between
6:30-7am
that morning. We will be requesting donations for breakfast
but we will have lunch catered by Sarah Wright.
