D is for Double Star

Double star is two stars that seem to appear close to one another in the sky. Some are even true binaries (two stars that revolve around each other; another just appeared together from the earth because they are both in the same line-of- site.

A double star looks like two stars that are rotating around each other. At first they look like they are rotating around each other from a far distance.
