Clara Barton

            Clarissa Harlowe Barton was born in North Oxford MA on Dec.25, 1821 and died April 12, 1912.  She lived and worked in Washington, D.C.  I think she should be in the Massachusetts Hall of Fame because she founded the American Red Cross in 1881. She was known as the “Angel of the Battlefield,” she cared for the wounded dung the Civil war.
