Clara Barton should be in the Massachusetts Hall of Fame. Clara Barton was born on Christmas day 1821 in Oxford, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of five children. When Clara was old she moved to Washington D.C. When she was there the civil war broke out. During the war Clara would go out on the battle field and help the hurt solders. When the war was over Clara got sick and went to Switzerland where she heard of the Red Cross. When she was better she went back to the U.S. and created it in the U.S. Clara Barton died April 12, 1912.
