Ashburnham Westminster Regional School District serves the towns of Ashburnham and Westminster Massachusetts.  These schools serve the following grades / towns:
 

  • Oakmont Regional High School - Grades 9 - 12+, Ashburnham and Westminster
  • Overlook Middle School - Grades 6 - 8, Ashburnham and Westminster
  • John R. Briggs Elementary School - Grades PK - 5, Ashburnham
  • Westminster Elementary School - Grades 2 - 5, Westminster
  • Meetinghouse School - Grades PK  - 1, Westminster

 Enrollment Procedure

  • Determine which school your student will attend based on the above information.
  • Gather the required information indicated below (these documents will be uploaded to the registration portal):
    • Proof of Residency

□ Record of recent mortgage payment, copy of the deed, or property tax bill

□ Utility bill or work order dated within the past 60 days showing town address and name, such as:

Gas bill, oil bill, electric bill, home telephone bill, cable bill, trash pick-up

□  Valid Driver’s License

□ Copy of current lease (including SHA and HUD leases) AND record of recent rental payment

□ Bank statement dated within the past 60 days

□  Valid passport

□ Residency Affidavit from Landlord affirming tenancy AND copy of current utility bill in the landlord’s name OR record of most recent rental payment 

□ Current vehicle registration of vehicle registered within the past 60 days

□ Military ID or other government-issued photo ID

□  Section 8 Agreement

  □  Excise tax bill within the past 6 months

□  Valid MA photo ID card

□ For all new construction, must provide a Certificate of Occupancy

 

  

 

    • Birth Certificate – Copy of original. A hospital birth certificate is not acceptable.
    • Current immunizations and a recent physical (within 13 months). 
    • Copy of custody/legal documentation as it relates to the student (if applicable).  Without documentation, the school cannot withhold any school related information.
    • Copy of student's most recent IEP/504 (if applicable).
  • Contact the Central Office (978-827-1434 or enrollment@awrsd.org) if you have questions on how to register your student.

Additional Information

  • If you do not have access to complete the registration materials online, please contact the Central Office, 978-827-1434, to schedule an appointment to complete enrollment.  Please note all required documentation needs to be brought to the appointment.
  • Students in grades 6 - 12 may need to meet with a guidance counselor prior to starting school in order to select appropriate courses.
  • A student may be enrolled by a parent, foster parent, caseworker or court-appointed legal guardian.
  • For families relocating to Ashburnham or Westminster, enrollment is ongoing and there is no deadline to enroll your student.

 

All registration information and accompanying documentation MUST be received  and verified before your child may start school.
